Klimaatalarm Die-In Groningen

Iedere maand houdt Extinction Rebellion een klimaatalarm. Zodra om 1200 uur de sirenes afgaan, vallen de deelnemers van XR voor dood neer op een symbolische snelweg, de A 12.

Deze keer om te protesteren tegen het nog steeds geven van fossiele subsidies. Terwijl in 2015 al werd toegezegd te stoppen met deze subsidies en vrijstellingen voor oa. Shell, Tata Steel en KLM, is dit niet gebeurd! Per jaar wordt er 30 miljard over de balk gesmeten. Dat is niet niks! De aarde warmt in razendsnel tempo op, het extreme weer neemt toe en in Limburg hebben we in enkele jaren al 2 overstromingen gehad. Het is noodzaak dat de overheid onmiddellijk stopt met deze fossiele subsidies. Dit geld wordt niet uitgegeven ten bate van ons, burgers van Nederland. Maar ten bate van meer winsten voor de grote bedrijven. Daarom slaan wij alarm tegen de overheid.

Wij maken van de Vismarkt een stukje A12, waarop wij als het (klimaat) alarm gaat als voor dood neervallen.

Via dit alarm warmt Extinction Rebellion het publiek op voor de vreedzame blokkade van de A12 in Den Haag. Deze vindt plaats op 9 september as. en zo nodig langer.

Tijd: 11:45 verzamelen op de Vismarkt

Duur: de actie duurt tot ong. 12:15 uur, daarna koffie/thee samen voor wie wil.

Every month, Extinction Rebellion holds a climate alarm. As soon as the sirens go off at 1200, the participants of XR drop for dead on a symbolic highway, the A12.

This time to protest against the continued provision of subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. While in 2015 it was already promised to stop these subsidies and exemptions for, among others, Shell, Tata Steel and KLM, this did not happen! Every year 30 billion is still spent on the most polluting industry. That's not nothing! The earth is warming up at lightning speed, extreme weather is increasing and in Limburg we have already had 2 floods in a few years. It is imperative that the government immediately stop these fossil subsidies. This money is not spent for the benefit of us citizens of the Netherlands. But for the benefit of more profits for the big companies. That is why we are raising the alarm against the government.

We are turning the Vismarkt into a piece of the A12, on which we drop dead when the (climate) alarm goes off.

Through this alarm, Extinction Rebellion warms up the public for the peaceful blockade of the A12 in The Hague. This will take place on September 9, and longer if necessary.
