Om nieuwe rebellen voor te bereiden op geweldloze acties, organiseert XR regelmatig een actietraining. Wil je meedoen met acties waar een risico bestaat op arrestatie, dan is het raadzaam om deze training te volgen. Door deze training te volgen kun je ook geïnformeerd beslissen óf je aan een actie mee wilt doen.

Tijdens deze training leer je:
🌻hoe je je voorbereid op een actie van Extinction Rebellion;
🌻wat geweldloosheid voor Extinction Rebellen betekent en welke tactieken daarbij horen;
🌻hoe een eenvoudige blokkade in zijn werk gaat en wat er daarbij over je heen komt;
🌻hoe je tijdens een actie je mentale welzijn kunt waarborgen;
🌻wat een affiniteitsgroep is en hoe deze groepen tijdens acties functioneren;
🌻hoe een arrestatie verloopt en hoe je om kunt gaan met politieaanwezigheid;
🌻wat juridische consequenties van een actie kunnen zijn.

Na de training ben je voorbereid om aan een geweldloze actie van Extinction Rebellion mee te doen.

⏰De training duurt ongeveer 3 uur. We starten stipt om 13:00 uur. Je kunt inlopen vanaf 12:45 uur. Als er voldoende tijd is kunnen er nog affiniteitsgroepen worden gevormd.

🇳🇱 🇬🇧 De voertaal is Nederlands of Engels (afhankelijk van de behoeften van de deelnemers), waar nodig zal voor vertaling gezorgd worden.

❗Deelname is gratis; evengoed zetten we een donatiepot klaar voor wie wat kan missen ter dekking van de kosten voor de locatie en koffie/thee.

XR Maastricht organiseert een demo op 21 mei. De week voorafgaand aan de A12 actie.
Wij trappen deze week van 'Stop Fossiele Subsidies' dus ook af, samen met de A12mars die door XR Arnhem wordt georganiseerd.
We verzamelen om 15.00 uur op de Markt in Maastricht, bij het standbeeld van Jan Pieter Minckelers. We hebben een mooie ‘blindfold action’ in gedachte die we live op grote hoogte gaan uitvoeren. We ronden af tegen 17.00 uur.

De zevende A12-blokkade is op zaterdag 27 mei om 12:00 uur! wederom met duizenden mensen. Wij eisen een direct einde aan de fossiele subsidies die de fossiele industrie op een presenteerblaadje aangeboden krijgt van onze regering en die jaarlijks tot wel 30 miljard euro bedragen!

To prepare new rebels for non-violent action, XR organises regular action training. If you want to take part in actions where there is a risk of arrest, it is advisable to take this training. By following this training you can also make informed decisions on whether you want to take part in an action.

During this training you will learn:

🌻how to prepare for an Extinction Rebellion action;
🌻what non-violence means to Extinction Rebellion and what non-violent tactics are;
🌻how a simple blockade works and what joining a blockade involves;
🌻how to ensure your mental well-being during an action;
🌻what an affinity group is and how these groups function during actions;
🌻how an arrest works and how to deal with police presence;
🌻what legal consequences an action can have.

After the training, you will be prepared to join a non-violent action by Extinction Rebellion.

⏰The training will last about 3 hours. We start punctually at 13:00pm. You can walk in from 12:45pm. Affinity groups can be formed if there is enough time left.
🇳🇱 🇬🇧 The training will be held in Dutch or English (depending on the participants needs), translation will be provided where necessary.
❗Participation is free; nevertheless, we will set up a donation jar for those who can spare some to cover the costs of the venue and coffee/tea.

We will gather at 3pm on the Markt in Maastricht, near the statue of Jan Pieter Minckelers. We have a nice 'blindfold action' in mind that we will perform live at high altitude. We will conclude by 5pm.

The seventh A12 blockade is on Saturday, 27 May at noon! Again with thousands of people. We demand an immediate end to the fossil subsidies handed to the fossil industry on a silver platter by our government, amounting to up to €30 billion annually!
